League Rules

  • Scrap Heap Fantasy NFL consists of four leagues, each with a 12-round live draft prior to the start of each season.
  • Teams play head-to-head matches over a period of seven days. The schedule is that given on the Schedule page at Yahoo Fantasy NFL.
  • A win in a weekly matchup scores three points, a loss scores no points, whilst a tie scores one point.
  • The top teams in each league at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs. The final regular season standings will be determined as follows:
    1. Points total
    2. Tied teams will be separated by the aggregate of win/loss margins over the regular season
    3. Teams still tied will be separated by the aggregate score from the regular season matches between the teams.
    4. Teams still tied will be separated by a comparison of their records against the #1 team in the league.
    5. Teams still tied will be separated by a comparison of their records against the #2 team in the league.
    6. Teams still tied will be separated by a comparison of their records against the #3 team in the league.and so on until....
    7. Teams still tied will be separated by a comparison of their records against the #14 team in the league.
    8. Random coin toss.
  • The 32 teams qualifying for the playoffs will be seeded according to their regular season points total (same records separated by aggregate of win/loss margins, then by number of wins). The #1 seed will face #32, #2 vs #31 and so on in round 1 of the playoffs. The 4 leagues will be kept separate until the semi final stage.
  • Any team inactive for four weeks will be deducted three points, with extra increments of three points deducted for each additional two weeks of inactivity until the manager becomes active again. NO REMINDERS WILL BE SENT BY EMAIL.
  • Once a trade has been accepted, the other twelve managers in the league have a 48-hour period to cast votes for or against the trade, depending on whether they feel it is fair or not. Six or more votes against a trade results in it being vetoed. The commissioner reserves the right to immediately veto any trades which give rise to suspicions of collusion or dumping of star players.
  • Any teams suspected of cheating will be locked and disqualified from the playoffs.
