From the 2008/9 season onwards, the first six weeks of the season are used as a qualifying period.

After week 6, only the top 30 teams will remain in the league with all others being eliminated. From week 7 onwards the team with the lowest weekly score will be eliminated. This is the lowest score for that week only, not the lowest season points total. No teams will be eliminated in weeks where there are 4 or less Premier League matches. A tie for the lowest score of the week will be decided by a playoff in the next set of matches as per the Yahoo schedule.

There are no immunities in this league!

This competition counts towards the Scrap Heap Fantasy Sports Championship using points scale B. Teams leaving the league prior to their elimination will receive no championship points.

Yahoo are running fantasy games for several other European leagues. SHFS is also running a competition combining England, Spain, and Italy which also counts towards the Scrap Heap championship - details here.
